LIFE PROCESS THAT PLANTS CARRY OUT

1. Life processes that plants carry out include / Proses hidup yang tumbuhan lakukan termasuklah:-
a) Response to stimuli / Bergerak balas terhadap ransangan.
b) Reproduction / Membiak.

RESPONSE TO STIMULI
BERGERAK BALAS TERHADAP RANGSANGAN
1. Plants are responding to the following stimuli / Tumbuhan bergerak balas terhadap rangsangan yang berikut:-
a) Gravity / Graviti

- The roots of a plant grow towards gravity but the shoot grows away from the gravity. / Akar tumbuhan bergerak ke arah graviti (tanah) tetapi pucuknya bergerak menjauhi graviti (ke atas).

b) Water / air

- The roots of a plant grows towards the water. / Akar tumbuhan bergerak ke arah air.

c) Sunlight / Cahaya matahari

- The shoot of a plant grow towards the sunlight. / Pucuk tumbuhan tumbuh ke arah matahari.

d) Touch / Sentuhan

- The mimosa plant responds to touch by folding up its leaflets. / Pokok semalu bergerak balas terhadap sentuhan dengan menguncupkan daunnya.

REPRODUCTION
MEMBIAK

1.To ensure the survival of their species. Untuk memastikan kemandirian spesiesnya.
2. Plants will become extinct if they do not reproduce. / Tumbuhan akan pupus jika tidak membiak.

3. Plants reproduce in several different ways. / Tumbuhan membiak dengan pelbagai cara.
